Mr Ameerali Abdeali is currently the President of the Muslim Kidney Action Association. He also serves as a Council Member of the Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore (IRO), a Trustee of the Tabung Amal Adilfitri Trust, and the Honorary President of the National Safety Council of Singapore. He has several other positions to his credit.

Jaime Lim

Director, Major Hazards Department & OSH Specialist Department, Ministry of Manpower

Jaime has been with the Occupational Safety and Health Division in the Ministry of Manpower (OSHD, MOM) for more than 20 years. She is currently a Director of the Major Hazards Department (MHD) and the OSH Specialist Department (SPECS). She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and a Masters of Science in Safety, Health and Environmental Technology. She is also a Chartered Engineer and Professional Process Safety Engineer with the Institution of Chemical Engineers. In MHD, Jaime oversees the Safety Case regime. She works closely with other regulators, Major Hazard Installations and Safety Case practitioners, towards preventing major accidents and protecting the safety and health of the workforce and the community. In SPECS, she oversees the implementation of Occupational Hygiene, Occupational Medicine and Engineering Safety programmes; with the aim of reducing risks arising from occupational exposures, educating workplaces about preventive medicine and creating sound life-cycle assessments for engineering machinery and equipment.

Veronica, is a volunteer with the Occupational Environmental Health Society (OEHS) Singapore as an executive member having served as past president for two terms. She is a professional engineer (chemical) and she holds several professional licences in health and safety such as CIH, WSHO and RIH (SG). Currently she provides capability building services and consultancy in WSH and industrial hygiene engineering work. She is pursuing her passion on training and educating the future generation of WSH professionals as an associate lecturer at various universities and training academies. Having spent 20 yrs at the Occupational Safety and Health Division, Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore as a Senior Principal Specialist and Senior Assistant Director and spearheaded the national globally harmonized system (GHS) Task Force. Dr. Ismaniza Ismail is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and a certified Professional Technologist (Chemical Technology) under the Malaysian Board of Technologists. With a PhD in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene from the University of Adelaide, her work spans industrial hygiene, environmental health and occupational safety & health in general. She serves as the Honorary Treasurer of the Malaysian Industrial Hygiene Association (MIHA) and has earned multiple recognitions and innovation awards. Dr. Ismaniza played a key role in developing Malaysia’s Guidelines for Psychosocial Risk Management and is an appointed trainer for the Psychosocial Trained Person (PTP) course by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
